This isn't the first time the two have shared the screen—Gummer made her screen debut with Streep in the 1986 Nora Ephron film Heartburn.

The resulting blended family comes with all sorts of complications—all unpacked with warmth, humor, and sensitivity by director Lisa Cholodenko, it's definitely worth to download and watch with your mom to remind the soften heart of love.

Sandra Bullock and Caitlin Wachs learn to understand each other after years of resentment with a little help from the unconventional friends and members of the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood". Watch this one when you need to reconnect with mom.

We hope you have your tissue boxes at the ready for this one: Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts pull on our heartstrings in this drama about a terminally ill mother who has to accept the new woman in her former husband's life who will be her children's stepmother. It's a great conversation starter for discussing potential legacies of motherhood. Sarandon's character fears that her daughter will forget her. Talk to your mom about what she would want to be remembered for.

This isn't the first adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel, Little Women. But, it may be our favorite.
