1. Moana
Being a must-have Christmas movie for kids, Walt Disney Animation Studios comes "Moana" after it lauched one of its top grossing movies "Zootopia" this spring. It's a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli'i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought: her own identity. Moana is geared toward a younger crowd, but its story is universal and the lyrics of each song are relatable to anyone. I was in tears while listening to some of the songs, because the truly do make you think about the good in the world, even though we are surrounded by so much hate. I loved watching Moana and I really can't recommend seeing it enough.
